Legality and Warning:  Wine and beer making, also known as Homebrewing, is legal in the United States, with the following restrictions:
1. You can make up to 100 gallons by yourself or 200 max, if you live with other people, annually.
2. Although you can share and give away any of your homebrew, you may not sell any that you make.
3. You must be 18 years old to make homebrew, and 21 (or legal drinking age) drink any of the homebrew that you make.
4. You may not distill spirits.

Since you are producing substance that kills more people a year than most forms of cancer, it is important to be respectful when consuming any alcohol.
1. Do not drink and drive (and don't let others drive after drinking). Consumption of alcoholic beverages also impairs your ability to drive a car or operate machinery.
2. According to the surgeon general, women should not drink alcoholic beverages during pregnancy because of the risk of birth defects.
3. Do not drink if you suffer from liver, heart failure, or other forms of illness.
4. Consult your doctor if you are unsure how alcohol will interact with any drugs you may be taking taking.
5. Most beers are 3-8% alcohol and wines tend to be about 12-18% alcohol. Keep that in mind when serving.
